Introduction In stereotype, people think there are some typically appearance and posture of a leader. The appearance and posture of a typical leader which people usually used to evaluate a leader include tall, a deep voice, a good posture, a touch of grey in his thick, lustrous hair, a fit body and ages. Although there are some people who don’t fit these typical features runs some dynamic businesses in the world. Even Peter Thiel, one of Silicon Valley’s leading investor, introduces a role: never invest in a CEO who wears a suit. But according to the research from several research institutions, people who fit these typical features usually have higher position and higher salary than others. Analysis In social psychology, if people view specific types of individuals or certain ways of doing things must indicate a person or a group, this relatively fixed class of view called stereotype. Stereotype means the appearance that people think a person or a group look like. Stereotypes probably affected by education, society, even culture. Sometime these views or thoughts don’t represent real world correctly. How do stereotype and prejudices format? There are different explanations between different disciplines. Sociologists think that relations of a person and different groups in a social structure are main factors of how stereotype and prejudices construct. Psychologists have different explanations about this question, they focus on a person’s experience with groups, patterns of communication about those groups, and intergroup conflict. To explain persistence of stereotypes and prejudices, there are two main factors. First factor is the cognitive effects of schematic processing. Existing stereotypes will be strengthened and confirmed when a member of a group behaves a certain way that people expect the group should be.
